Are your polish students experiencing hate crime?

There have been rising incidents of hate crime against Polish people since the EU referendum. Are your students experiencing hate crime? How do you know? What are you doing about it?
I have discussed the rising incidents of hate crime since the EU referendum in previous equality updates. I know that some colleges have identified specific strategies to find out the experiences of groups of students such as those who were not born in England, for example Polish students.
The Equality and Human Rights Commission has been working with the Polish Ambassador, Arkady Rzegocki, and have published guidance. This includes advice for people on what to do if they are worried about racism, which has been translated into Polish. Colleges might consider, as one of their safeguarding actions, producing a leaflet for students on the support that is available, and use the EHRC publication to help translate relevant text into Polish.
