Challenging preconceptions

Did you see the BBC’s Greatest Dancer contestant, Andrew Self? Did you know that he has been involved in a short film that challenges peoples’ preconceptions about diversity?
One of the 300 education providers that I have and am working with has sent me a notification about a short film that has been recently published. “I AM”, produced by Meehow Films, is an inspirational and moving exploration of the nature of ability that showcases the talents of four very different young people, challenging the audience’s preconceptions about diversity.
The short one-minute film features students and alumni of the Orpheus Centre including current nominee for the One Dance UK awards and the BBC’s Greatest Dancer contestant, Andrew Self. The film stars former Orpheus students Awa, Steve and Sandra and was filmed on location at the Orpheus Centre, Oxted Barn Theatre, Caterham’s Ridge Radio and the London Coliseum.
“Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.” Richard Stilgoe, Orpheus Centre Founder and Trustee
