Don’t forget to publish your second Equality Information Report for Jan 2013

Listed public sector organisations had to publish their first Equality Information Report by Jan 2012. This is an annual duty, so you need to publish your second Equality Information Report on your website by the 31st Jan 2013. Make sure you report is robust by checking against feedback from the Dec 12 research conducted by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), as this found that many organisations were not meeting their duties
In news I posted on the 12 December 2012, I commented on the outcomes of a sampling exercise conducted by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC). This looked at how public authorities in England have met their duty to publish equality information. A significant number of authorities were sampled, including 130 universities and 115 colleges. Performance by universities was mixed, while colleges performed relatively poorly.
