Religion or Belief Discrimination? Key Points for the Workplace is new guidance published by Acas for employers and employees on what discrimination based on religion or belief is, and how to avoid it.
The new guidance explains the features of the protected characteristic of religion and belief. It covers areas such as job adverts, training and development opportunities and promotion. It highlights the rights of employees and responsibilities of employers around issues such as dress codes, fasting, and time off for holy days. it also covers issues around talking about religion or belief at work.
