I mentioned a number of resources during my keynote speech at the recent national AoC diversity conference in London in June 2013. These include the LSIS specific duties and EIA guides mentioned above, plus two useful guides on sexual orientation monitoring, and collecting information on gender identity:
Improving sexual orientation monitoring. This is a useful publication that considers how you should prepare the ground for monitoring sexual orientation, questions that work and those that do not, and the legal requirements to monitoring
Collecting information on gender identity. Informed by robust research and discussion with the trans community, this resource explores the case for monitoring in relation to gender reassignment, and provides questions to use on monitoring forms and surveys
